What does a property inspector look for?

Property inspectors are looking for defects that could affect the safety of your family or the value of your home. A typical home inspection evaluates the property’s overall condition, including structural, plumbing and electrical systems, as well as floor/wall/ceiling finishes, doors and windows.

How long does a property inspection take?

A standard property inspection takes between 3 and 4 hours. Duration of the inspection can depend on different factors like the property’s size, age and general condition.

How long does it take to get results from a property inspection?

Home Inspection reports are emailed within 24-48 hours of the inspection.

Do I have to attend the property inspection?

Attending the property inspection is not required although it is recommended. At the end of the inspection, we will explain the general condition of the property, this will also be explained and detailed in the inspection report.

Should sellers attend the property inspection?

It is not recommended that sellers attend the property inspection. If possible, sellers should leave the property while the inspection is being performed.

What is excluded in a property inspection?

Some exclusions and limitations may apply during the property inspection. Common exclusions include public/common areas (for condos), gardens/playgrounds, and any special system/equipment (solar, security, etc).
